On Transformers Paperwork...

This almost falls under the category of Mail Call, but I haven't done any of those for a while since things are so few and far in between nowadays. What makes this a little different is I wouldn't have this great Fort Max booklet if it weren't for a good friend of mine attending Botcon 2012. I'd like to give a shoutout to fiveironfr3nzy, without his diligence I wouldn't have been able to add this piece to my collection as cheaply and easily as I did. As it stands now I am only three more instruction booklets away from a complete G1 collection and all of those are giftset booklets. For some reason, like with everything else Fort Max related, his booklet is super expensive compared to almost all the others and thus it was one of the last I needed for my paperwork collection.

I was surprised by how small the booklet actually was, I was expecting the size to be more like Sixshot's, but I guess when you break it down Fort Max really isn't that complicated. Just large.

Once I have my collection totally complete I plan on posting a gallery of all the booklets together, but for now I'll just leave you with this teaser image from 1984:

If you need a little more Fort Max for your day, check out some of Heroic Decepticon's recent acquisitions!

  1. Congrats. I'm going to take a wild guess in saying those giftset instructions are probably going to be a pain to find. Good luck! You're oh-so-close!

    1. Thanks! I'm sure it will take longer to purchase the last three than all of the rest combined...

  2. Woot, thanks for the shout out.

Very nice paperworks display you go there. I only know of 2 collectors with that sort of dedication to instructions and tech specs - you and Sebestien (Hyperoptic). Takes massive effort, well done!

Since you are collecting them all, are you getting all the pre-rub instruction books for 1984 and the rub-sign instruction books for 1984?

    1. What? I didn't realize there was a difference. How can you tell?

Yeah Sebastian was my influence, he helped me a ton with everything.

  3. Heroic, email me that, too, please. I wasn't aware that there are pre/post-rub variants of the original books.

The internet keeps robbing me of my innocence.
